1903 Society

The 1903 Society was established to recognize those supporters who give $1,000 or more each year to the Medical Center's unrestricted Annual Fund. Such philanthropic leadership continues to be the cornerstone of our success.

Milford Hospital opened on September 1, 1903. The original land and buildings were donated by Governor and Mrs. Eben S. Draper.  A group of committed citizens recognized that the healthcare of this community was too important not to be supported.  The quality of life in this region has been forever enhanced through this vision, and it is philanthropy that has enabled Milford Regional to continuously meet the healthcare needs of our community.

More than a century later, many members of our community continue as philanthropic leaders, generously supporting Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation with gifts of $1,000 or more a year.

The 1903 Society was established to recognize our most loyal and generous donors and to inspire others to join in supporting Milford Regional in such a significant way.  Recognition includes inclusion in the Annual Report of Donors, invitations to special lectures and informative events, a specialized 1903 Society pin, and an annual update from the Chief Executive Officer.
