What is the connection between the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation and Milford Regional Medical Center?
The Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Medical Center and exists to connect the passions of the community with the needs of patients and the Medical Center. We strive to make a difference in the health of our community by helping advance health programs and services to save lives and promote wellness. It is through your support that Milford Regional Medical Center can pursue new medical technologies and partnerships to enhance patient care.
Is the Foundation a non-profit organization?
Yes. The Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation is a registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) 3.
Can I make a donation with a check?
Yes. Please make checks payable to “Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation” or “MRHF.” A note in the memo area is helpful, especially if your gift is connected to a fundraising event or intended to support a particular area. Otherwise, gifts will be designated to the highest priority need. If you are making a gift in memory or honor of a loved one, please see the memorial/tribute question below.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Your donation to Milford Regional is fully tax deductible to the extent of the law. The amount that is tax deductible depends on whether or not you receive goods or services as a result of your donation. Please refer to the acknowledgment letter that you received by mail or email to determine how much of your gift may be tax deductible.
Will I receive a tax receipt?
In many cases when you give online, a tax receipt will be emailed to the address you provide. For gifts sent to our office, a tax receipt will be mailed.

Yes, we welcome you to take part in our Community Fundraising Program. So that we can best support your efforts and make sure that your fundraiser complies with our guidelines, we ask you to complete a short form before starting. We can also provide you with an event toolkit – complete with templates to publicize your event, helpful hints & tips, promotional items, and the ability to easily create a fundraising page so you can raise money online. How do I make an anonymous gift?
For gifts made online, check the box that says: “I prefer to make this donation anonymously.” For gifts sent to our office, please include a note indicating your wish to remain anonymous.
What does “highest priority need” mean?
Gifts to support Milford Regional’s highest priority needs offer the greatest flexibility and impact – supporting the most critical initiatives at the Medical Center to help us make a difference in the health our community each and every day.
What if I want my donation to go to a specific area?

How do I make a gift in honor or memory of a loved one?
A tribute gift is a gift to honor or remember someone. A gift to Milford Regional is a meaningful and enduring gesture to remember a loved one, honor a friend or family member or thank an outstanding caregiver.
When you make a tribute gift, simply complete the tribute section of the form and we will receive your gift intentions along with your payment. Be sure to let us know if you would like us to send a note to inform someone that you have made this special gift.
Unless your gift is made anonymously, your tribute gift will also be listed in our annual report of donations that is published in late December.

Do you have suggested language about memorial gifts that can be included in obituaries?
“In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of [name of deceased] to the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, [fund name or hospital area], 14 Prospect Street, Milford, MA 01757. Memorial donations can also be made online at foundation.milfordregional.org.”
How do I make a gift of securities?

How can my company make a matching gift?
Many companies offer matching gifts to employees, retirees and directors as a way to support your local community. Contact your human resources office for more information.

Your privacy is very important to us. Milford Regional does not keep credit cards on file and we will never rent, sell, or share your information.
